Action For Children: Offers consumer services to help families with their child care search. Assists employers in planning work/life benefits. Sponsors the USDA child care food programs; workshops and seminars for child care professionals. Alzheimer's Association: The Delaware Office has a registered nurse and licensed social worker who provide assessment and support to patients and caregivers in the home. The primary goal is to educate the caregiver about Alzheimers and make referrals to other agencies. A monthly support group meets at Andrews House. Inservice training to professionals and the general public are provided. Contact them at 740-363-1365.

Arthritis Foundation: The Arthritis Foundation provides services for those who are affected by or know someone affected by the 100+ types of diseases of arthritis. These services include information (brochures, booklets, health fairs) dissemination, exercise programs, aquatics programs, self-help courses, public education forums, support groups, and training for P.A.C.E. exercise programs, and aquatic instructors. Big Brothers Big Sisters: This nonprofit agency serves the community by providing quality mentoring relationships to children and youth in need of a friend. Concerned Citizens Against Homelessness/Family Promise: CCAH/Family Promise is a new nonprofit in Delaware working to solve the homelessness problems in Delaware.  For more information contact Stanya Greathouse or Jeff Hodge at 740-362-6096.

Connections: Connections is a program of Helpline of Delaware and Morrow Counties. The staff at Connections seek out volunteer opportunities in nonprofit agencies and recruit, screen, and refer volunteers to meet the needs of these agencies. Connections also offers an electronic fingerprinting and background check service as well as providing training workshops on various subjects to members of the community.
