How Does the Legal Clinic Work?

The Interfaith Legal Clinic at Andrews House has been the source of free legal advice to residents of Delaware County and the surrounding areas for over six years.  In a world where our legal system becomes more complex each year, there are many persons who cannot afford fee-based access to a lawyer’s advice and counsel.

The clinic occurs the third Tuesday of each month.  It is a walk-in only clinic.  Between  5:00 and 6:00 p.m. each client will meet with someone for a brief intake interview.  This interview will determine your eligibility and help match you with someone who can best answer the questions you have.  There will be homemade cookies/brownies and drinks available while you wait to see an attorney.

Our volunteer attorneys are usually able to begin seeing clients by 6pm or shortly thereafter. The attorneys will meet individually with clients until everyone has been seen.  It usually takes about two hours to accommodate all the clients.
